On Product Hunt it holds 4.8 out of 5 across 37 reviews and several say the same thing, that they came from Loom and never went back. There is criticism inside that same community too, «pretty buggy at times + a relatively limited feature set», and a verified Capterra review flagging the worst possible failure in a recorder: «More than 50% of the time, Tella records the wrong screen for your very first video», with corrupt segments you have to redo. The other objection is size. It is a six-person team with $3.5M raised in total, no reviews profile on G2 and only two on Capterra, so independent signal is scarce and the gap has been filled by a layer of affiliate pages that help nobody decide. And one boundary is worth marking: it does not record remote guests or per-participant tracks, so it is no replacement for an interview recording studio.
