There is criticism inside that same community too, «pretty buggy at times + a relatively limited feature set», and a verified Capterra review flagging the worst possible failure in a recorder: «More than 50% of the time, Tella records the wrong screen for your very first video», with corrupt segments you have to redo. The other objection is size. It is a six-person team with $3.5M raised in total, no reviews profile on G2 and only two on Capterra, so independent signal is scarce and the gap has been filled by a layer of affiliate pages that help nobody decide.
