The criterion is where the deck has to end up. If the deliverable is a PowerPoint or a Google Slides file on your company template, Plus AI wins: it works inside both programs and never asks you to export anything. If you are going to share a link and want a good finish without knowing how to lay out slides, Gamma wins: it builds the whole thing in under a minute, but it lives in its own format, and taking it out to PowerPoint brings overlapping text, substituted fonts and blocks that come out as images. Both start at $10 a month and both charge per user, though on Plus AI that price requires annual billing.

Plus AI, because it installs inside Google Slides and PowerPoint and works on your master, with nothing generated outside and imported later. One limit is worth testing before you trust it with an important deck: under strict graphic standards it falls short of the consistency a brand manual demands, and editing already-designed decks, with custom fonts and native charts, still causes it problems.
Which one can I try before paying?
Neither of them properly. The 400 credits on Gamma's free plan are one-off and never renew, so the trial runs out before you decide. Plus AI has no permanent free plan: its seven-day trial with 1,000 credits is only available to people who never used the old free plan, which no longer exists.
What happens if something goes wrong after I pay?
That is Gamma's weak spot. There is no live chat, only a form and email, its Trustpilot rating sits between 1.7 and 2 out of 5 over replies that take weeks, far below its 4.5 on Product Hunt, and since 1 December 2025 refunds are limited to the first three days of the subscription. Plus AI carries no such record: 4.62 out of 5 from 897 ratings on the Google Marketplace and 4.85 from 130 reviews on AppSource.
