Microsoft Study and Learn is still free with any Microsoft 365 Education licence (A1, A3 or A5), and its privacy policy is unchanged: conversations do not train the models and teachers cannot see a student's activity unless the student shares it. This week's news is an independently confirmed product update: conversations can now include a carousel of web-searched images to support understanding, and the deployment documentation clarifies that once a school sets up the tenant, the agent is on by default for students with no separate activation step. It still has no mobile app, and July's finding about broken reference links (around 25%) still has no second source confirming it.
