The weekly release on 5 August, v1.14.2, adds OS-level sandboxing for the agent's terminal and fetch tools, using Seatbelt on macOS, bubblewrap on Linux and WSL on Windows, and explains it in detail in a same-day blog post that also acknowledges its limits. The same release changes, as a declared breaking change in its notes, the default keymap from VS Code style to Zed style for new installs. The repo's top-voted git request is no longer the side-by-side view, which shipped in February: today it is GitHub pull request review inside the editor itself, with 488 votes and still unresolved since July 2025.
